Matthew H. Storch is a Central Florida criminal defense attorney and former prosecutor who brings extensive courtroom experience and firsthand knowledge of the criminal justice system to his practice. As the founder of Storch Law, P.A., he represents individuals facing criminal charges throughout Central Florida.

Raised in Central Florida, Mr. Storch earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Central Florida before attending the Florida State University College of Law. He graduated in 2016 and was admitted to The Florida Bar that same year.

Mr. Storch began his legal career practicing in various areas of law before joining the Office of the State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit in 2021. As an Assistant State Attorney, he prosecuted misdemeanor and felony cases. In 2022, he was promoted to Deputy Bureau Chief of the County Court Bureau, where he supervised prosecutors and oversaw the prosecution of misdemeanor cases.

Throughout his career as both a prosecutor and criminal defense attorney, Mr. Storch has participated in more than 70 trials. His experience on both sides of the courtroom provides valuable perspective when evaluating evidence, identifying legal issues, negotiating with prosecutors, and preparing cases for trial.

His criminal law experience spans a wide range of cases, including driving under the influence (DUI), criminal traffic offenses, trespass, assault, battery, criminal mischief, domestic violence, drug offenses, sex offenses, and other felony offenses.

In recognition of his dedication and service, Mr. Storch received the Career Service Award from the State Attorney’s Office upon his departure. He subsequently transitioned into criminal defense, joining Hagood & Hagood, PLLC, where he represented individuals facing criminal charges. In October 2026, he founded Storch Law, P.A., establishing his own practice dedicated to criminal defense.

Mr. Storch understands that facing criminal charges can be one of the most stressful experiences in a person’s life. He believes every client deserves to be heard, treated with respect, and kept informed throughout the legal process. His approach emphasizes thorough preparation, honest communication, and an individualized defense strategy tailored to each client’s circumstances.

Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Storch remains actively involved in the Central Florida community. He volunteers with Orange County Teen Court, a diversion program for young offenders in the Ninth Judicial Circuit, serving as both a volunteer judge and jury advisor. In recognition of his contributions to the program, he received the Teen Court Founders Award. He also volunteers for the Florida High School Mock Trial State Competition.

At Storch Law, P.A., Mr. Storch draws upon his experience as a former prosecutor and criminal defense attorney to provide strategic, thorough, and personalized representation to individuals facing criminal charges throughout Central Florida.
